A DIY divorce helps a lot of divorcing couples in terms of money and effect. It helps divorcing couples who have no children, little assets, and have agreed on alimony.
However, the pitfall of DIY are countable because there are unexpected issues that might surface in the future because there is no lawyer intervention. Some of the problems that may be experienced are property value concerns, tax consequences, and future risks to consider.
